• Attach up to 8 RGB JPEG images RGB = Red blue and green, the photo is made up from three colour files each handling one of these colours. Used on computer and video screens.

JPEG = Type of photographic file which can be compressed for the web from high resolution to low resolution in order to reduce the file size.

All digital cameras take RGB JPEG images usually sized at about 1mb to 6mb. Images should be emailed at the highest resolution you have – but you may have to send higher sized files one by one to ensure they arrive uncorrupted.

Some email programmes will not allow you to send a file over 5mb-10mb. In that case reduce the file OR send all images on a cd.

• Colour Maps = £25 each

Maps often need to be redrawn in a simple clear way, navigating from tube stations, bus stops or local landmarks.

Sending a link to an e-atlas can sometimes be more confusing than a straightforward diagram giving simple clear visual instructions.

Animating Gifs

Animating graphics (gifs) are a simple alternative to Flash and cause no compatibility problems across platforms or browsers. The file dimensions should be kept small (360 pixels by 240 pixels maximum) but quite often even an experienced web designer can be fooled by the animations we create into thinking they are watching a flash file. Gifs load quite quickly as well.

• Navigation Buttons = £5 each

If you have more than a single page you will need at least two buttons to link back and forth to the pages of your website. These can be simple graphic buttons with colour and text but also can utilise photo images.

• ROLLOVER Buttons = £10 each

Rollover navigation buttons add animation to your site. When the cursor moves over the button it will change colour, shape or even add a photographic image. Like gifs they are stable across platforms and browsers.

• Five or more pages = £40 each

This figure is meant to be used as a guide only, the cost of each page depends on its complexity. The more pages you require the less we can charge for each page. Please note this figure is intended to indicate a commitment to our flexibility on pricing.

• Meta Tags Meta Tags are information about your pages written into the code and hidden from the browser. Search engine robot computers aka 'spiders' crawl the 'web' and gather the hidden information.

This information is stored in search engines data banks waiting for people to search using for example Google. In theory if you write the correct tags you will appear high up on a search.

There are two types of meta tags.

1 – A description of your business.

2 – Keywords associated with your business.

There is a certain amount of legality in writing tags and over use of words may lead to disqualification by search engines. Google 'Search Engine Optimisation' for more information.
